An excellent opportunity to meet people working in technological problems related to the oceans from the academia, the industry and the government. This event will be held in four (4) workshops running about the following topics:

  1. Climate Change Research
    • The role of the ocean in the climate change
  2. Ocean Observation Systems
    • Underwater sensing platforms; Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV's); Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV' s); Special Uses: search & retrieval, routine sampling and measurements; Undersea Gliders: they ocean observations; oceanographic measurements;
    • Underwater stations; coastal for network oceanographic measurement;
    • Acoustic systems technology for fisheries: advanced fishery technology, recognition, observation and tracking; online to sound to data processing
    • Coastal Oceanic and observations; remote sensing; satellite images processing.
  3. Coastal Zone Management
    • Global Policy/LOS
    • IOOS - GOOS technology
  4. Renewable Energy Techniques
    • Ocean Energy, alternative resources;
    • Gas hydrates

It will include the exhibition of the works accepted in oral form (20 to 30 minutes each one) in plenary sessions opened to all the assistances and then workshops activity. Conclusions will be exposed at the end of the event.
